[PL] National Gene Bank of Plants of Ukraine to jeden z dziesięciu największych banków nasion na świecie. Niestety w wyniku rosyjskich bombardowań na Charków w maju 2022 bank stracił blisko 30% bezcennych nasion. Większość zasobów udało się zachować w podziemnym magazynie Narodowego Centrum Roślinnych Zasobów Genowych Ukrainy, jednak praca instytutu jest bardzo utrudniona, a finansowanie jego pracy, z uwagi na trwającą wojnę, ograniczone.
W czasie 11. edycji Festiwalu Patchlab _econtinuum, która była skupiona na roli technologii i sztuki cyfrowej w budowaniu świadomości ekologicznej i możliwych zmianach relacji z naturą, zainicjowaliśmy zbiórkę funduszy, aby wesprzeć Bank Nasion w Charkowie. Zbiórka była kontynuowana po zakończeniu festiwalu, aż do do 5 stycznia 2023.
Cała zebrana kwota została przekazana na konto National Gene Bank of Plants of Ukraine.

[ENG] The National Gene Bank of Plants of Ukraine is one of the ten largest seed banks in the world. Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian bombing of Kharkiv in May 2022, the bank lost nearly 30% of its priceless seeds. Most of the resources have been preserved in the underground warehouse of the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine, however, the work of the institute is very difficult, and the financing of its work, due to the ongoing war, is limited.
During the 11th edition of the Patchlab Festival _econtinuum , which focused on the role of technology and digital art in building environmental awareness and possible changes in relations with nature, we initiated a fundraising campaign to support the Seed Bank in Kharkiv. The collection continued after the festival until January 5, 2023.
All the collected amount was transferred to the account of the National Gene Bank of Plants of Ukraine.
We would like to thank all those who, together with us, helped to maintain the continuity of the Seed Bank’s work and rebuild the heritage so priceless for all of humanity.
